This painting is inspired by Nizar Qabbani’s poem “Kalimat,” beautifully performed by Majida El Roumi. Through color and rhythm, it translates the song’s lyrical progression ; the rise and fall of emotion, the unfolding of words into music. Each brushstroke mirrors the way the melody carries Qabbani’s verses, transforming poetry into a visual symphony. ( I recommend listening to the song while looking at the painting.)
