Mirage II reflects the shadows we encounter in life, the illusions of people we believe to be loyal and sincere, only to discover their presence was false. It speaks to the pain of friendships that dissolve into pretense and the two-faced figures who do not wish us well. Like a mirage in the desert, such relationships shimmer with promise only to fade, revealing what is genuine and what was only shadow. Yet out of this disillusionment emerges strength. Inspired by the struggles of fighters, survivors, and those overcoming challenges, this work also celebrates the willful human spirit. Through vibrant colors and layered abstraction, it embodies determination, hope, and courage. Mirage II is both a meditation on deception and a tribute to resilience. The reminder that, as Steve Maraboli wrote, “Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient.”
