Anna Thackray

I’m a multidisciplinary artist and author based in the UAE, passionate about creative reuse and environmental conservation. My neurodivergent perspective fuels my mission to transform discarded materials into vibrant art that highlights sustainability and nature’s beauty.

My skills in drawing, digital design, sculpting, and painting enable me to create innovative projects, such as the “Trash to Treasure” workshop at Saadiyat Beach Club, where I transformed waste into a Hawksbill Turtle sculpture as a symbol of conservation. My education at the University of Southampton and the Winchester School of Art, combined with international experience in the UAE, Bahrain, the UK, and South Africa, has shaped my art and perspective. Through gallery shows, festivals, and public art projects, I strive to inspire others by demonstrating that creativity and conservation can work in tandem.  I’m dedicated to turning everyday materials into art that encourages a greener, more sustainable world.
