Bab al-Dar — باب الدار | The Door of Home
We spend so much of our lives standing at doorways, saying our hellos, our goodbyes, and all the little things in between. Doors witness our comings and goings, hold the warmth of reunions, and quietly remember the people who once passed through them.
In Palestinian homes, a door is never just a door. It is a keeper of stories, a witness to generations, a threshold to laughter, family gatherings, celebrations, and the familiar sound of loved ones returning home.
Through Bab al-Dar, Ashghal el-Teta brings these memories to life through the art of Palestinian Tatreez, preserving in every stitch a little piece of home, heritage, and belonging.
Because sometimes, a doorway is not simply a way in or out. It is where our stories begin, where our hearts return, and where a part of us will always remain.
Some doors may close, but the memories they hold never say goodbye.
