After the Fire explores resilience as transformation rather than a return to wholeness. The work brings together layered acrylic, fragmented ceramic and sculptural elevation to create a surface shaped by fracture, memory and renewal. Each hand-carved ceramic fragment carries traces of an imagined former whole, while the spaces between the fragments represent what cannot be restored. Raised from the canvas, the fragments cast shifting shadows, making light and absence an active part of the composition. Earth, ash, charcoal, bronze and gold evoke the aftermath of fire, while the surviving fragments suggest continuity, strength and the possibility of becoming something new.
