Echoes of Blue portrays a Blue Macaw emerging from a surface built with acrylic paint and fragments of reclaimed fabric. The bird appears both present and dissolving, its form assembled from pieces that echo the fragile state of many wildlife species today. Each fabric fragment symbolizes the ruptures in natural habitats, forests reduced, ecosystems disrupted and lives displaced.
The use of reclaimed cloth reflects the deep connection between human activity and the fate of wildlife. Layers of acrylic paint unify and soften these fragments, while still revealing the seams beneath, mirroring the delicate balance within nature.
