Hills Of Colour

In my painting, "Hills of Colour," I wanted to transcend a traditional landscape and create an immersive, dreamlike world using a surreal palette and rhythmic, stylized textures. I leaned heavily into an expressive, polychromatic color scheme to give the landscape a vibrant, fantastical energy. The rolling hills act as a canvas for a rhythmic progression of colors - alternating between cool magentas, deep purples and electric blues, punctuated by stripes of rich emerald green and warm ochre. In the foreground, I painted a line of striking trees in vivid shades of pink and violet, drawing the eye into the scene. To tie the composition together, I mirrored these hues in the sky, blending soft turquoise with sweeping streaks of lavender and rose, while the distant, earthy brown peaks ground the vibrant fantasy in a touch of warmth.
