I recently asked my teenage daughter: “What would a magic wand look like today — universal access to wish-fulfilment and the satisfaction of needs?”
“Money,” she answered without hesitation.
This is the view held by most people. Yet, as one matures toward an inner realisation, some come to understand that money cannot buy the meaning-forming moments of life: sincere friendship, loyalty, love, hand ealth.
That is why money stands at the roots of the tree, while personal qualities belong to its crown.
Where are you now?
