This work is painted in oil on a century-old traditional copper tray. For me, it is important that the surface is not canvas, but an object with memory. The metal carries traces of time, touch and tradition, becoming part of the meaning itself.
The composition is conceived as a symbolic still life. Grapes represent abundance, blessing and continuity of life. Their softness contrasts with the strength of metal and the restrained, masculine presence of the blade. I am drawn to the collision of textures: engraved copper, the matte depth of the sheath, dense textile and the translucent flesh of the fruit. Within this contrast, tension and harmony coexist — a dialogue between heritage and personal expression.
