The composition presents the flag’s white and red horizontal bands with a blue canton bearing a single white five-pointed star. Known as La Estrella Solitaria (The Lone Star), the design symbolizes progress, honor, and the enduring independence of Chile. First adopted in 1817, the flag has remained a powerful emblem of national pride and sovereignty.
