This monumental oil painting, which won the Excellence Award at the 31st Grand Art Exhibition of Korea, stands as the cornerstone of my artistic practice.

The composition is anchored by a massive, architecturally constructed ship—a metaphor for the "Ark of Life" sailing through the universe. The central motif features a complex clock mechanism intertwined with a compass, symbolizing the relentless flow of time and the search for direction amidst the vast ocean of existence.

Executed with precise "Hard-edge" techniques, the work juxtaposes vibrant fields of yellow and orange against a serene, rhythmic blue background. The geometric precision—incorporating rulers, numbers, and grids—represents the human desire to measure and organize the chaos of the world. As the title In and Out suggests, this piece visualizes the dynamic intersection of the internal self and external reality, inviting viewers to reflect on their own journey.
