“Sometimes the closed door is divine intervention to preserve your destiny.” -  Belinda Enoma

In an Arab culture, doors represent a significant meaning of new beginnings and regional traditions with artistic expressions. They symbolize thresholds of transitioning choices and opportunities from one place to another.
This painting depicts a typical Arabian door historically found in old Arabic buildings. The artist has used rustic shades to create a warm, rustic and metallic look on hardwood planks. The door which resembles a fort-like structure exudes a royal yet traditional look. The heavy, brick walls in earthly palette are a major characteristic of an Arab house.
The artist adds a stoned well at the foreground to depict the traditional way of living and source of essential water supply before modernisation took over. With the addition of overhead lights and electrical wirings passing on the walls, the artist gives a viewer subtle hints of modernisation on the traditional dwelling.
